Business Technical Analyst
Summary:
Provide technical leadership in delivering and supporting application solutions
for complex business requirements. Provide technical direction in the quality
and delivery of business system commitments on schedule, within prescribed
resource limits and in accordance with client requirements and departmental
standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in and contribute to large, complex and diverse projects, with
minimal guidance, own assigned tasks and assist with tasks assigned to others
working on the same project. Partner with business and other IT teams to
complete work. Mentor and train others. Resolve complex system problems.
Participate in technical reviews.
Design, implement and support advanced and diverse application solutions
that address complex business requirements, following SDLC processes, application
processes and quality validation (when appropriate) for large projects.
Provide technical leadership for other application developers on all system
development activities. Develop project plans and time estimates for tasks
in a project. Train and mentor less experienced IT resources.
Evaluate and recommend products and systems solutions in key application
areas to IT management. Integrate applications into existing technical environment.
Develop, prepare, review and document test requirements and test data
for complex system testing.
Provide support for production systems, and implement speedy resolutions
in partnership with the business.
Consult, recommend alternatives and participate with IT and business teams
to help set strategic application direction related to business changes.
Co-Lead the technical application architecture and system integration
tasks. Participate in post-installation application reviews and lessons
learned sessions. Develop standards or processes.
Work cooperatively with technical or application personnel across IT to
accomplish enterprise-wide goals. Identify and implement process improvements
in the application architecture and/or infrastructure of the existing systems.
Participate with the business or function in strategic, long-range planning
for new or existing systems and technologies.
Will be a part of the core team developing Enterprise Identity Management
solutions
Will configure, customize and implement programmatic elements of the campus
Identity Management services as well as developing applications with BMC/Symphony
API's, message handling and other technical aspects of interfacing with
the Identity Management infrastructure
Will Maintain and monitor IDM applications and their Web environment (Dev,
Stage, Production servers) and Troubleshoot systems (log files, TNS ping,
data connection, etc)
Will implement various customer applications
Will develop and customize various Database Components and class libraries
for custom applications
Will guide and direct project teams in the requirements gathering, design,
and development of complex applications/programs.
Will document standard operation procedure and technical specifications
for software packages
Will test application systems and servers by using unit test tools
